Jim Squire, Firestorm Chief Development Officer, Reelected to IFA’s Board of Trustees
Firestorm Chief Development Officer, Jim Squire, was recently reelected to the board of trustees of the International Franchise Association (IFA). Founded in 1983, the IFA serves the franchise community and shapes its future through timely research, the establishment of their industry-leading certification program, and by acting as the liaison between franchising and diverse communities. In addition to serving on the board of trustees, Jim was awarded IFA’s highest honor in 2014: the William Rosenberg Leadership Award. The award is presented to “an individual who has made a significant contribution to the franchise education and to the IFA Educational Foundation through research, teaching, fundraising or other activities or service.”
Apart from his work with Firestorm and IFA, Jim is also active in Rotary District 6900. He currently serves as the District Governor Elect, but will become District Governor in July of 2019. Rotary District 6900 includes 68 Rotary Clubs from most of Atlanta and the western part of the state of Georgia.

Jim Squire, Certified Franchise Executive, is Executive Vice President and Chief Development Officer at Firestorm, overseeing franchise development and alternative channel expansion for the brand. Squire also serves as president and CEO of Franchise Marketing Advisors, LLC, a broad based franchise development consulting practice. Prior to Firestorm and FMA Squire was a senior executive with such well-known brands as the HoneyBaked Ham Company, Great American Cookie Company, Arby’s, Day’s Inns and the Howard Johnson Hotel Company.
Passionate about franchising as the “great American dream,” Squire is involved in the following national franchise industry boards and committees: member and past chairman of the Board of Governors of the Institute of Certified Franchise Executives; member and past chairman of the Board of Trustees of the International Franchise Association’s Educational Foundation; member of IFA’s Franchisor Forum, Franchise Congress, and the Franchise Relations and Membership Committees; and former member of the IFA Board of Directors.
