As Senior Business Analyst, Enterprise Resiliency (ER), you will play a key role in driving COMPANY’s Enterprise Resiliency program, focused on improving the company’s resiliency against major business disrupting events. This position will be part of a team that is dedicated to helping THE COMPANY plan for and recover from business disrupting events. You will have an opportunity to work on all aspects of the Enterprise Resiliency Program – from partnering with leaders across the company to managing the development of Business Impact Analyses and Enterprise Resiliency plans through to regular reporting cadences and presenting status to executive leadership as necessary and coordinating Tabletop tests to meet business needs.

Responsibilities:

  • Establish trusted relationships with business stakeholders across the company to understand requirements for the Enterprise Resiliency program.
  • Identify and establish Enterprise Resiliency processes to enable effective reduction of risk associated with disruptive events.
  • Lead efforts across the Enterprise Resiliency program to set appropriate success metrics and consistently drive execution to reduce risk
  • Build strong relationships and processes with partner teams for Disaster Recovery, Crisis Management and related First Responder functions.
  • Ensure coordination with teams around the world and provide global coverage for Enterprise Resiliency services
  • Manage the components of COMPANY’s Enterprise Resiliency repository solution
  • Drives continuous improvement of policies, procedures and technology related to Enterprise Resiliency
  • Interacts with industry experts and stays abreast of best practices in the Enterprise Resiliency field
  • Work effectively as part of a geographically distributed team
  • Travel as required

Required Skills:

  • 5+ years of experience in Enterprise Resiliency including Business Continuity, Disaster Recovery & Crisis Management
  • Capable of working collaboratively in a challenging, dynamic and global environment.
  • Strong track record in developing, implementing and refining Enterprise Resiliency processes
  • Demonstrated success working with a global Enterprise Resiliency program
  • Solid Enterprise Resiliency repository tool management experience
  • Track record of building successful relationships with partner groups
  • Experienced in meeting goals in a fast-paced environment with rapidly needs
  • Skilled at preparing risk readouts and reporting at all levels of the company from operational efforts through to Executive and Board level presentation materials
  • Bachelor’s Degree or related industry (or equivalent experience)

General Description
The Project Management & Business Continuity Planning Strategist is the key point person for developing and managing procedures that ensure our client can respond to all events that disrupt normal business operations. Develops timeframes in which operations will resume and coordinates the actions and resources necessary to ensure those timeframes are met. Demonstrates strong skills in project management and business analysis, in addition to business continuity and disaster recovery (BC/DR).

This person is:

  • The calm in the storm, bringing excellent communication and interpersonal skills to the table during times of crises.
  • Understands that events happen at any time and is comfortable being on call.
  • Enjoys being the critical coordinator during events and providing after event write-ups. In addition, ensures that each department’s BCP plans are in place and tested on a predictable schedule.

A unique feature of this role is responsibility for creating and maintaining diagrams and documentation for the Information Technology organization. Ability to leverage communication, systems-thinking and Strong Microsoft Visio and PowerPoint skills are critical for success in this area.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Creates and manages the Client Company’s Business Continuity Program and related plans, artifacts, scenario development, testing schedules and requirements.
  • Creates and modifies guidelines, planning documents, budget requirements, and risk assessments.
  • Project manages business continuity/disaster recovery projects.
  • Drives the creation and maintenance of the IT business continuity plan, incident response plan, and additional IT diagrams and documentation.
  • Coordinates business continuity planning with additional offices across the Midwest and East Coast through strong relationship building and travel to other offices.
  • Coordinates executive approval and prioritization of vendor-based technology initiatives.
  • Acts as an on call initial point of contact for incidents and outages.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required, Master’s degree preferred
  • 5+ years of Business Analysis with 3+ years of Project Management experience
  • Excels under pressure, able to make quick decisions, and escalates as appropriate
  • Proven ability to write well-formed, clear documentation and hold presentations for large groups
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Strong expertise with Microsoft Visio and PowerPoint
  • Highly organized in task management and scheduling
  • Absolute passion for process and technology
  • Metrics – must have a passion for creating and using metrics
  • Extensive process-oriented experience (ITIL, PMBOK, , Agile, SDLC)
  • Financial services experience highly desired.
