Summary:

The IT Business Analyst (BA) will support the District-wide effort to provide Disaster Recovery and Continuity of Operations (DR-COOP) for the Client’s critical systems. The successful candidate will be responsible for interfacing with Client’s technical and business staff to fully understand their critical systems and the business operations they support. The BA will work under the supervision of a Senior Technical Project Manager to perform business impact analyses for Client agencies as part of assessing the overall impact to operations if agency critical systems are jeopardized. The Business Analyst will draft customer questionnaires, conduct integrated teaming sessions, perform systems analysis and draft associated documentation; perform general business analysis activities; and develop and/or assist in the development of documentation related to all project activities for the life of the project

Required Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in IT or related field or equivalent experience
  • Experience as an IT Business Analyst
  • Experience with the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)
  • Solid understanding of software quality assurance and processes
  • Intermediate understanding of relational data models.
  • Experience conducting Business Impact Analysis
  • Experience assisting in the architecting and/or documenting of disaster recovery/COOP solutions.
  • Skilled with MS Office tools (Visio, PowerPoint, Word & Excel)
  • Experience developing use cases and user stories.
  • Experience in business process mapping or operational redesign / improvement
  • Experience as a technical writer in a software/application development environment
  • Experience creating process flows and system architecture diagrams using Visio
  • Experience conducting integrated team sessions
  • Experience working with technical staff such as software developers and DBAs

Desired Skills:

  • CBCP certification – highly desirable
  • 6-10 yrs adapting functional business reqs/processes to technical solutions based upon enterprise application solution sets
  • 6-10 yrs experience with ERP management processes such as knowledge mgmt, supply chain mgmt, material mgmt, logistics, and procurement
  • 6-10 yrs experience with one or more of following: investment analysis, data warehousing, ecommerce, ROI analysis, HR analysis, info dissemination

As the IT Business Continuity & Disaster Recovery Architect (BCDR Architect) you will provide leadership and vision for the client’s enterprise IT BCDR Program. You will lead the Business Continuity Management (BCM) governance framework that is consistent with general regulatory requirements and ensure industry best practices/standards are developed, maintained and adhered to across the Enterprise. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND BEHAVIOURS:

The Workplace Recovery Solution Sales Lead role is a geographic expansion of the existing similar roles in North America, EMEA, and Singapore. Given the high growth we are targeting, the scale of the opportunity cannot be underestimated and as such we are seeking seven exceptional people for these roles. A summary of the role dimensions is as follows:

Solution Support (40%, but initially 80%)

  • Leverage existing network to create leads/ opportunities
  • Focus on driving revenue and customer acquisitions/ renewals
  • Viewed as Workplace Recovery product and Business Continuity Disaster Recovery industry expert
  • Possess deep understanding of competitor offerings
  • Support customer meetings and assist in RFP responses
  • Perform Sales training and communication

Channel Development (40%)

  • Win, maintain, and expand relationships with channel partners from BCDR, Insurance, and Real Estate industries
  • Recruit and sign up agents to the COMPANY Workplace Recovery agent programme
  • Establish professional relationships with key personnel in partner accounts
  • Coordinate the involvement of company personnel to meet partner objectives
  • Proactively lead joint partner planning process that develops mutual performance objectives, financial targets, and critical milestones

Build and Improve Product Image (20%)

  • Coordinate and execute participation in major industry tradeshow events – including speaking opportunities, before and after show marketing, and customer events
  • Host multiple BCDR-themed private events for current and prospective customers
  • Develop SME content for Workplace Recovery blog

General Skills and Abilities

  • Be an expert – understand the context, the market, the customers, the product, and the competition extremely well
  • Investigate and problem-solve – use data to determine how performance can improve and validate your analysis by talking to customers, employees, suppliers, and competitors.

Experience

The Solution Lead should be an individual with a demonstrable track record of delivering outstanding business results and have excellent commercial, communication, and influencing skills.

  • Extensive Product / Commercial / Sales/ Channel Development role in a complex, multi-channel and international environment
  • Business Continuity or Disaster Recovery experience
  • Experience supporting direct and indirect Sales channels
  • Demonstrated success in creating solutions for customers
  • Experience in both entrepreneurial and blue chip environments
  • Worked in a multi-stakeholder matrix environment with demonstrated ability to work well individually and within a team
