The University of Alabama and Firestorm Create Crisis Coach® Support for Alumni
Every day, a University of Alabama family member (alumni) is in a business crisis.
The University of Alabama College of Continuing Studies announces a new program to provide dynamic ongoing growth for alumni careers. Through a new, no-cost continuing education webinar series focusing on business crisis, the College of Continuing Studies will build awareness of emerging issues and provide continuing education on critical issues facing alumni.
‘Every day, a University of Alabama family member (alumni) is in a business crisis.’ A crisis is not business as usual. A crisis is business as unusual. Today’s environment is complicated. Between emerging risks, threats, financial controls, data networks, violence, and constantly changing policies, there are many new hurdles to jump over when it comes to running a business, managing risk, and maintaining compliance.
This new webinar series will enhance the already rich relationship between Alabama Alumni and the University with continuous improvement resources. The theme is critical decision support to address business crises and share best practices.
Today, there is an expectation of management of risk. The University of Alabama alumni are leaders in their fields and face unique challenges. Their University of Alabama education provided them the foundation for achieving their career goals. Now, this webinar series combined with other University of Alabama programs and conferences will build excellence in the workplace.
Leroy Hurt, Associate Dean of College of Continuing Studies, stated: “We are pleased that Firestorm has agreed to join with us to provide this critical information and support to our alumni. This new webinar series will provide our alumni key insights into actions needed.”
