Assistant Professor of Mechanical Engineering
Scott Kessler, P.E., Ph.D., has served as an independent engineering consultant for greater than 20 years, providing broad-based engineering solutions and testing with a primary focus on root cause failure analysis and design. Services are provided utilizing a diverse set of capabilities, including but not limited to: computer aid design, failure analysis, finite element analysis, metallurgical evaluation, mechanical testing, and nondestructive inspection. Comprehensive reports are presented quickly and concisely to customer specifications. A large variety of clients have been served ranging from large manufacturers and aerospace firms, to engineering consulting outfits, utility companies, and small machine shops. Dr. Kessler is an expert in mechanics of materials particularly with regard to failure analysis and design to prevent failure.
Dr. Kessler is currently an Assistant Professor of Mechanical Engineering at Colorado Mesa University which offers mechanical engineering degrees through a partnership with the University of Colorado-Boulder. The department also offers a degree in Mechanical Engineering Technology through Colorado Mesa University .
