Firestorm EVP and COO, Hart Brown, will be a panelist for three sessions at the ASIS International 63rd Annual Seminar and Exhibit held at the Kay Bailey Hutchison Convention Center in Dallas, TX.

Session One: Lessons From the Storm: Lessons Learned from Past Hurricanes to Make Your Organization More Resilient

Monday, September 25| 3:45 PM – 5:00 PM CT, Kay Bailey Hutchinson Convention Center Dallas, Room C150

Session Number: 4314

Learn from the experience of continuity and security professionals that have been impacted by significant hurricanes. Find out how the lessons learned in those storms have helped them to plan and prepare their organizations and industries to be more resilient in the face of hurricane (or other natural disaster) impact in the future.

Session Two: Creating a New Culture in Response and Recovery

Tuesday, September 26, 2017: 11:00 AM-12:15 PM CT, Kay Bailey Hutchinson Convention Center Dallas, C146

Session Number 5114

What your organization does in the first hour of a crisis or event will shape the outcome forever. Response to and recovery from an incident, active assailant, act of terrorism, natural disaster requires a culture of preparedness and inclusion of the entire facility or organization in related activities. Your success and organizations reputation depends on it. Through an interactive exercise, participants will take some important steps in recognizing the preparedness and planning responsibilities their organization requires, from the CEO to the most recently hired employee. Culture of planning must be a base value of the organization, that is as important as their product or service it provides.

Session Three: There’s Been a Consumer Information Breach. What Do I Do?

Wednesday, September 27 from 11:00 AM-12:15 PM CT, Kay Bailey Hutchinson Convention Center Dallas

Have you been affected by an information breach? Combined, the Equifax, Anthem, eBay, and JPMorgan Chase breaches affects more than 450 million people, households, and businesses. These breaches undermine consumer confidence in the marketplace, hurting consumers and businesses alike. Security practitioners should be prepared to support the needs of the organization and of those impacted. Using insights and examples of recent events, we will highlight the communication needs and how to partner with other lines of business on messaging. Join us in a discussion addressing how to personally address the crisis, as well as examine consumer advocacy.
