GOLDEN, Co. – Firestorm Chairman/CEO Harry W. Rhulen will be a featured speaker at the Rocky Mountain Coal Mining Institute’s upcoming convention at The Canyons Grand Summit Resort in Park City, Utah.

Rhulen, whose company was retained to support and assist the Virginia Tech administration in the wake of last year’s shootings, will deliver a presentation entitled “Luck Is Not Your Strategic Plan,” encapsulating the company’s unique, human-capital approach to business continuity and disaster planning, on July 1 at 11:15 a.m.

In addition, Rhulen and Firestorm Director of Manufacturing Terri L. Ray will conduct a professional development credit course in crisis communications for RMCMI members on June 27-28.

The course, entitled “Planning and Correctly Communicating Unexpected Events” will provide communications tools necessary for a company’s response to crises or disasters. Attendees will learn how to identify critical audiences, craft and deliver targeted messages, and manage the flow of information.
