TED HANSEN
Mr. Hansen is the past Deputy Director of the Financial Services Information Sharing and Analysis Center (FS-ISAC) and a founding member of GeorgiaFIRST, the regional recovery coalition for the state of Georgia. A seasoned financial services executive, he has been in banking (13 years with the Mellon Bank and its predecessor banks), provided services to financial institutions of all types and sizes (16 years of consulting, treasury management, risk management, and payment systems), and managed the domestic investment and treasury management department of Joy Manufacturing, a Fortune 300 company. The last three years Mr. Hansen has been instrumental in the expansion of the FS-ISAC as its Deputy Director and as a consultant. Launched in 1999, the FS-ISAC was established by the financial services sector in response to 1998's Presidential Directive 63. That directive - later updated by 2003's Homeland Security Presidential Directive 7 - mandated that the public and private sectors share information about physical and cyber security threats and vulnerabilities to help protect the U.S. critical infrastructure. The FS-ISAC is the leading organization of its type and is viewed as the ISAC of best practices by industry experts.
Mr. Hansen’s experience and expertise have included activities such as sales and marketing management, product development and management, investment management, strategic and tactical planning, and project management. His involvement with the financial sector has included work in corporate and retail payment systems, retail service delivery, risk management, and more recently business continuity planning, compliance regarding information and physical security risk management, public/private partnerships, and the impact of extraordinary events on the functioning of the financial sector. He has been a regular speaker on behalf of the FS-ISAC and GeorgiaFIRST. <<
