Karen Masullo, Chief Marketing and Technology Officer
As a member of the senior leadership team, Karen is responsible for overseeing the planning, development and execution of Firestorm internal and partner marketing and advertising initiatives and ensures the organization’s message is distributed across diverse channels and to targeted audiences in order to meet strategic growth objectives.
From a technology perspective, Karen directs internal and external technology teams to foster compliance and efficiencies supporting Marketing, Sales and Fulfillment.
Together with Jim Satterfield, Firestorm CEO she launched the Firestorm Intelligence Practice in 2012. Karen directs the Intelligence Analyst teams for the practice area, in addition to Marketing and Technology teams.
Karen has also designed and delivered more than 4500 hours of workshop, digital and webinar training, and directs the Firestorm learning program planning and delivery initiative.
Prior to Consulting, Ms. Masullo was the Director of Global Technology Product Development for world outplacement leader Drake Beam Morin (DBM) where she was one of only three people in DBM’s history to win their highest award for innovation – the da Vinci Award.
As an innovation technologist and project manager, Ms. Masullo hosted, trained, and collaborated with counterparts from Japan, France, Australia, The United Kingdom, Brazil, New Zealand, Canada and Singapore in launching next-generation products and services, customized for local markets.
Ms. Masullo is a frequent contributor to news and industry publications, is a Pushcart Prize nominee, a former featured Writer for HRGuru (a Monster Company), and a former Board Member for the Charleston, SC ASTD (American Society for Training and Development).
Karen has also received Certification in FEMA’s IS-00042 Social Media in Emergency Management 2014, Emergency Support Function 15 (ESF15): A New Approach to Emergency Communication and Information Distribution, and FEMA IS-00106.12: Workplace Violence Awareness Training 2012.
