Linda Hunt King, PhD, MBA

Dr. Linda King is Founder, President and CEO of Hunt-King & Associates, Inc. a privately held, multi-discipline, management consulting firm headquartered in Atlanta. The firm serves a national clientele and specializes in providing consulting solutions in Commercial Insurance, Business Continuity Risk Management and Contingency Planning.  The firm’s expertise is helping clients proactively protect their assets and earnings, mitigate risk and reach their next-level business goals. 

Prior to establishing the consulting firm and professional affiliation with Firestorm Solutions in 2009, Dr. King was a Senior Underwriting Officer with Chubb Group of Insurance Companies.  She brings to the Firestorm Expert Council more than 25 years experience and expertise in commercial property and casualty insurance underwriting and marketing, risk management and contingency planning.  During her career, Dr. King has specialized in working with national and multi-national organizations as well as small and medium-sized businesses. A critical component of her underwriting and risk management responsibilities was helping insureds develop and implement customized business continuity and disaster recovery plans.  Her industry expertise includes a number of niches:  technology, not-for-profit, museums and cultural institutions, healthcare and life sciences, educational institution, broadcasters, wholesale distributors, manufacturers, real estate, local government, federal government contractors and law firms. 

With advanced degrees in business, marketing and behavioral sciences, Dr. King’s professional experience and expertise includes small business ownership, franchise ownership and consulting, sales and marketing, market research, business development, training and education and project management.  Dr. King holds a PhD in Pastoral Counseling from Jacksonville Theological Seminary, MBA from Hamilton University, M.S. in Counseling from Cornerstone University, B.S. in Business/Marketing from Virginia Commonwealth University and A.S. Degree in Marketing from The College of William & Mary (Richard Bland College)and is AMA (American Management Association) Certified in Executive Speaking.  As a bi-vocational executive, Dr. King is also the founder of a faith-based, not-for-profit organization; a National Board of Clinical Christian Therapists Fellow; holds advanced certifications in Temperament Counseling; and is Board Certified in Clinical Supervision.
 

Dr. King has provided her business continuity risk management expertise in numerous national publications. She is also an advocate for, and contributor to, disaster preparedness in the faith community as well as underserved communities.  Dr. King maintains active membership in the Association of Continuity Professionals (ACP), the Southeastern Continuity Planners Association (SCPA ) and a number of other professional organizations and trade associations.  She is highly regarded as a consultant, coach, mentor, speaker and trusted advisor in business and community.  Originally from Virginia, Dr. King currently resides in Atlanta and maintains virtual offices in the Washington, DC and Richmond, VA metro areas.   <<
