Social Media Risk: Monitoring and Merged Media
Predict.Plan.Perform.® How do you monitor and interpret the flood of information available before, during and after crisis? Last week was perhaps the most intense use of Social Media we have yet experienced. The Boston Marathon Bombing and subsequent search for perpetrators generated incredible amounts of communication online. Then, two days later, the West, TX fertilizer plant explosion injured over 200 and took 14 lives added to the volume of social media activity. Simply sorting out what is relevant is a major concern. In this webinar, we look at recent incidents including the Boston bombings, the West fertilizer plant explosion, and a recent shooter report from the University of Rhode Island among other events. These examples illustrate the need for monitoring and management of social messaging to protect people and property. Listen and watch, as Firestorm's EVP of Social Media, Karen Masullo, looks at these incidents and explores tools and approaches to help you keep your people and property safe. Karen has extensive experience in the use and monitoring of Social Media and will provide valuable information in the growing use of these communication tools.

Oz Hill and Jim Satterfield Present Disaster Preparedness for Small Business Owners Sponsored by Verizon Small Business Webinars It's not meant to make you feel guilty either. But, it is meant to help you--by forcing you to think about your important business assets and a recovery plan. Disaster is an ugly word. It's not something that you think about everyday. It's something you read about or hear about in the news that affects someone else. But you should think about it--and you should be concerned if you don't have a contingency plan for business-as-usual operations after a catastrophic event. |
