BILL R. KENNEDY
A private healthcare consultant, Mr. Kennedy is experienced in hospital governance, executive management and crisis management in complex healthcare environments. These include proprietary, not for profit, ambulatory and academic institutions in both the adult and children's healthcare industries. He has direct experience with complicated legal, regulatory, managerial, governance and financial situations.
BACKGROUND
In addition to advising healthcare executives and governing boards, Mr. Kennedy has directed both a 280 bed rural hospital system and a 336-bed university-affiliated teaching hospital. He has held numerous other hospital executive positions including Chief Operating Officer, Chief Financial Officer and Director of Community Affairs. The following are some examples of his experience:

Dealt with federal regulatory agency events involving the Office of Inspector General, Federal Bureau of Investigation, Department of Justice, U.S. Attorney, Nuclear Regulatory Commission and Centers for Medicare/Medicaid·
Directed crisis responses involving hospital fires, hostage situations, threats of violence, litigation, employee theft, product sabotage and adverse media coverage.·
Direct involvement with the creation and administration of compliance plans and corporate integrity agreements·
Investigated and corrected computer billing and accounting inaccuracies.·
Dealt with numerous disruptive, abusive and/or impaired physician issues·
Coordinated strategic responses with political action groups such as the Citizens Organized for Political Service (COPS)·
Negotiated complicated affiliation and joint venture agreementsIn addition to his 25+ years of executive work in the health care field, Bill's credentials include a B.S. in Social Sciences with a focus on psychology and political science from the Douglas McArthur Academy of Freedom and an M.S. in Healthcare Administration from Trinity University. He is a Certified Healthcare Executive & Diplomat of the American College of Healthcare Executives and a Certified Continuous Quality Improvement facilitator.
Mr. Kennedy has served in various capacities on the Boards of VHA Oklahoma/Arkansas, the Association for Not for Profit Teaching Hospitals, Various Chambers of Commerce, the Oklahoma State Chamber of Commerce and, the United Way. He served on the Governor's Committees on Indigent Healthcare in Oklahoma and Texas.
